Don’t Judge a book by its cover! This nondescript restaurant puts out some of the best meat dishes in the area. Upon walking in, it can be a little underwhelming, however the prompt service will quickly put you at ease. The menu is basic and sometimes limited (as was our case). However once the food comes out you won’t be disappointed. The salad was made with home grown tomatoes. The likes of which only your grandmother would have in her garden. The Lulas are tender and soft. The meat is actually quite good, which is hard to find in Portugal. The espetadads are quite delicious. This is definitely a local place, and the locals know how to eat well. And as far as a local place goes, it has AC and it works. Another thing hard to find in the Motherland. If you’re in the area, give this place a try.

We visited this place on Sunday to have lunch. Busy schedule but staff kindly ask us if we could wait 20 minutes. Glad we did it. Staff was great and food was excellent. We had grilled steak for 2. Meat was just perfect and regional wine was a perfect fit. We also had one desert and coffee for both. Great meal at affordable price. It’s a real typical Portuguese gem that deserves 5 stars

if you want to discover what a local restaurant should be, I guess this is place to be. no miracles in terms of design or even in new cuisine but place is honnest and what you get in your plate worths every penny...cent or escudo depending fm where u come let's say 35 euros for 2 including more you can get elsewhere. then... a place to consider
